Data Engineer

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions across modern cloud data platforms. • Develop robust data pipelines, managing ETL and ELT processes, optimising data storage and compute. • Implement architectures that enable reliable analytics and AI use cases. • Operate in a client-facing environment, translating business needs into technical solutions.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrated experience of minimum 2 years working with modern cloud data platforms, including Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake, and Power BI, with hands on involvement across ingestion, transformation, and analytics layers.
- Demonstrated experience of minimum 2 years and preferably 5+ years delivering data related projects such as business intelligence, data science enablement, data migrations, data management, and database development using relational databases
- Strong SQL expertise, including the ability to design and maintain complex queries, functions, scripts, stored procedures, views, and triggers to support scalable data solutions and downstream application development.
- Proven experience in data modelling, including dimensional modelling, Data Vault modelling, and logical and physical database design, with a strong understanding of industry best practices.
- Hands on experience designing and optimising ETL and ELT pipelines, including transformation logic, orchestration, and workflow automation in cloud environments.
- Strong experience with Snowflake as a core platform, with exposure to at least one additional modern data platform such as Databricks or Azure Synapse.
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure and services across Azure, AWS, or GCP, including security, performance tuning, and cost optimisation considerations.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala for data engineering and automation use cases.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work in client facing environments and translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
