• Focus on maintaining and enhancing our custom-built validator engine. • Ensuring regulatory messages sent to financial regulators meet stringent accuracy requirements. • Extending the rules engine (written in Java) to support new use cases. • Implementing, debugging, and refining JSON-based DSL rules for accuracy and compliance. • Collaborating with three other team members to support ten jurisdictions. • Ensuring thorough testing and validation of all configurations.

• Take full ownership of internal grading tooling. • Build and maintain supporting systems centered around inventory and order flows on live production systems. • Deliver high-impact features contributing directly to core business roadmaps.

• Develop and maintain backend services using Go (Golang) in a modern product environment. • Build features based on high-level product requirements, collaborating closely with Product Managers and Designers to clarify scope, purpose, and expected behavior. • Take ownership of the full development lifecycle, including coding, testing, creating pull requests, and releasing features to production. • Write and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability. • Work within fast CI/CD pipelines, where code may reach production shortly after approval. • Collaborate with distributed engineering teams in a fully remote setup with a strong emphasis on autonomy and accountability. • Identify blockers early and proactively seek clarification or support when needed. • Contribute to technical discussions and continuously improve engineering practices and product quality. • Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Cursor or similar) to enhance productivity and code quality.

• Build scalable backend systems that allow us to scale to millions of users. • Integrate with 3rd party software including Payments, Accounting, CRMs, and more. • Optimize our GraphQL backend for fast performance so that our movers are able to complete their jobs quickly • Create generic systems that are able to solve any workflow in a scalable way. Generalized systems include billing, document creation and storage, task workflow, and customer communication systems • Open source general frameworks that we use to build entire applications consistently and quickly • Shipping code, conduct code reviews • Architecture docs and Design handoffs • Product brainstorm/scoping (if desired) • Design review/brainstorm (if desired)
