Senior PHP Developer

• Help build and lead the engineering team, maintaining a collaborative, delivery-focused environment. • Stay informed about the business to make the most effective decisions, considering both internal and client perspectives. • Share technical knowledge with the team to enable consistent, high-quality work. • Lead, code, and deliver large, complex projects. • Code alongside the team to implement project requirements and new business features. • Support the team with technical development issues, with or without coding. • Analyze internal processes and propose improvements when necessary. • Introduce technological innovations to the company, promoting faster and more suitable processes. • Maintain a high-level view of the company to identify the most efficient solutions and deliver value.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related STEM field.
- At least 10 years of professional programming experience working in development.
- Experience as a web developer using PHP (very important).
- Good understanding of WordPress; experience creating a plugin or theme is a plus.
- Knowledge of AWS (not extensive required — we have a DevOps team).
- Experience with PHP 7.2 and above.
- Experience with PHP frameworks.
- Object-Oriented Programming.
- Advanced MySQL experience for implementing and optimizing queries (very important).
- Knowledge of JavaScript/jQuery and other frameworks.
- Familiarity with version control using Git.
- Knowledge of ElasticSearch.
- Experience with the Semantic UI framework.
