MERN Stack Developer
Capital One
• Understand client requirements and functional specifications. • Design, and develop client-side and server-side components using the MERN stack. • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use. • Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers. • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code. • Responsible for solving complex technical issues. • Ensure quality projects are delivered within defined timelines. • Active involvement in client communication to understand functional requirements. • Provide technical assistance to juniors within the team. • Maintain high standards of quality for code, documentation, and other deliverables. • Adhere to industry best practices and contribute to internal coding standards.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing modern and secure web applications using Node.js, Express.js, React.js, and Redux.
- A good understanding of data schema, data structures, and experience in MySQL (RDBMS) or MongoDB (NoSQL).
- Knowledge of Firebase will be an added advantage.
- Experience in using Unit Testing frameworks like JEST, and Mocha.
- Strong fundamentals in building scalable RESTful APIs and Microservices.
- Knowledge of GraphQL will be an added advantage.
- A good understanding of version controls tools like GIT and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
- Experience with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
- Experience in documentation of functional and/or technical aspects of projects.
- Familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills.
