We are looking for a DB2 Database Administrator to work on a project in the consultancy in the media industry. The project: Our teammates are talented people that come from a variety of backgrounds. You will be part of a distributed team where you will be the owner of their enterprise BI platform: a large-scale, production IBM DB2 system serving critical business analytics across the organization. You'll manage infrastructure, optimize performance, ensure data security and availability, and lead the technical evolution of this mission-critical platform. What you will do: - Administer and maintain the IBM Db2 12.1.2 Warehouse on Cloud environment (24-node MPP cluster). - Own performance tuning and query optimization across a complex, high-volume analytical workload. - Manage storage, backup, and recovery operations to ensure platform resilience. - Configure and maintain security policies and access controls. - Provide advisory on schema design and data architecture decisions. - Collaborate with data engineers and analytics leads on platform health and scalability. - Support the ongoing infrastructure migration from IBM Cloud to AWS where relevant. - Document database configurations, processes, and best practices. What you will bring: - Hands-on production DB2 administration experience, ideally with Db2 Warehouse or MPP environments. - Strong expertise in performance tuning and query optimization on DB2. - Experience with storage management, backup strategies, and disaster recovery. - Knowledge of DB2 security configuration and access control best practices. - Ability to advise on schema design and contribute to architectural decisions. - Comfortable working in complex, established production environments - Strong communication skills and ability to work within a distributed team Nice to have: - Experience with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server - Exposure to IBM Cloud or AWS-hosted DB2 environments - Familiarity with analytics or BI platform architectures - Experience supporting database migration projects What we offer: - 100% Remote Work - WFH allowance: Monthly payment as financial support for remote working. - Career Growth: We have established a career development program accessible for all employees with a 360º feedback that will help us to guide you in your career progression. - Training: For Tech training at Zartis, you have time allocated during the week at your disposal. Role Description As a Primavera P6 EPMM Administrator, you will manage the Oracle P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM) system, focusing on installation, configuration, security, backups, performance tuning, and user support. You will act as the bridge between P6 application users and core IT, ensuring data integrity and system availability for project managers/schedulers. This is a remote role that can be performed from anywhere in the United States. Key Responsibilities - System Administration & Configuration: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Primavera P6 EPPM and associated components (Web Access, Integration APIs, BI Publisher, etc.). Configure global and project-specific settings including calendars, EPS/WBS structures, activity codes, and UDFs. - Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance, optimize configurations, and tune for speed. - Security & Access: Manage user access, set permissions, and implement security policies. - Backup & Recovery: Develop and execute backup/restore plans, ensuring data recovery. - User Support: Act as the first point of contact for P6 users, providing training, mentoring schedulers, project managers and planners, and troubleshooting. Promote best practices in schedule management and system usage. - Documentation: Maintain standards, procedures, and system configurations. - Collaboration: Work with IT, developers, and Primavera support for seamless operations. Liaise with Oracle support for escalated issues and patch management. - Data Management and Integration: Ensure data integrity across projects and portfolios. Develop and maintain integrations with other enterprise systems. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. - 7+ years experience managing P6 Primavera applications and project management scheduling support. - 5+ years' of demonstrated experience in Primavera P6 EPPM knowledge (schema, background jobs, administration guides) plus experience in Oracle Database skills (SQL, tuning, backup/recovery, security). - Proficiency in scripting (SQL, PL/SQL, Shell) for automation and understanding of P6's complex enterprise structure for project management support. - Deep understanding of Oracle RDBMS, including installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning, and backup/recovery. - Advanced SQL scripting for complex queries, reports, and PL/SQL for automation; strong scripting (e.g. Shell, Python) for efficiency. - Experience tuning the P6 database (EPPM/PPM) for optimal performance, especially during cleanup and resource-intensive tasks. - Experience implementing security, managing user access, and ensuring data integrity within the P6 environment.
