Legal Assistant
Vets2PM
• Conduct initial client intake. • Assist clients during the records request and documentation process, including medical, employment, and personal history records. • Maintain ongoing communication with clients, providing case status updates and collecting required information. • Serve as liaison between clients, attorneys, and internal support teams. • Organize, track, and maintain case files electronically. • Assist in drafting basic correspondence and case-related documents. • Support attorneys in document review, data compilation, and preparation of filings or settlement packets. • Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all privacy and HIPAA-related standards.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
- Demonstrated empathy, professionalism, dependability, and a client-care mindset
- Experience in mass tort, personal injury, class action, or civil litigation an asset
- Prior law firm experience an asset
- Experience in client intake or administrative/legal support
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently
- Experience drafting forms, client-service correspondence, or handling record requests
- Familiarity with legal case-management software or litigation platforms
