Senior Creative Lead
Help for Heroes
Role Description We’re looking for a Senior Creative Lead to shape, elevate, and innovate all creative output across Help for Heroes ensuring our content is powerful, consistent, and rooted in purpose. As our Senior Creative Lead, you will oversee and guide all creative output across the organisation. You’ll be the strategic and creative force behind our multi‑channel content - from social to video, print, radio, TV, and influencer‑led campaigns - ensuring every touchpoint feels consistent, impactful and aligned to our mission. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team of videographers, copywriters, designers and our Content and Production Managers, helping them deliver their best work while ensuring we push boundaries, embrace innovation, and build a powerful bank of evergreen assets that maximise efficiency and influence. What you’ll do - Own the creative and content strategy, ensuring it aligns with organisational goals, our brand platform and audience needs. - Lead and inspire an in‑house creative team, championing fresh ideas and high‑quality storytelling that drives engagement. - Provide creative direction for all major campaigns such as Remembrance and Armed Forces Day. - Use performance insight and audience data to refine and improve creative effectiveness. - Work closely with teams across the organisation to create unified, impactful content across every channel. This is a role where creativity, leadership and clear strategic thinking come together - and where your work will have meaningful, real‑world impact. Qualifications - Significant experience leading creative teams to deliver high impact content. - Strong understanding of how to build successful content across multiple channels (TV, Social, Print, radio etc). - Confident using audience insight, data, and performance metrics to guide creative decisions. - Excellent project and stakeholder management skills, with experience commissioning agencies. - A portfolio that shows creative judgment, innovation, and work that moves people to act. - Experience in the charity sector, animation, emerging content formats, or customer journey mapping is a bonus. Benefits - Belonging to a team who make a difference to our community and value equality, diversity and inclusion. - 29 days’ annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, regardless of service - plus your birthday off to celebrate! - Opportunity to buy and sell up to 5 days annual leave per year. - Added to our free health scheme from day one, including discounts on dental, opticians, massages, and more - with the option to upgrade. - 3 volunteer days per year to support the Help for Heroes community. - A generous salary sacrifice pension scheme with an 8% employer contribution and a minimum 3% employee contribution, plus life insurance up to 4× salary as an active member. Company Description Help for Heroes believes those who serve our country deserve support when they’re wounded. Every day, men and women have to leave their career in the Armed Forces as a result of physical or psychological wounds. The Charity helps them, and their families, to recover and get on with their lives. It has already supported more than 26,500 people and won’t stop until every wounded veteran gets the support they deserve.
