Job Requirements

  • 3 to 4 years of experience in Frontend Development, with deep mastery of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React.
  • Strong testing mindset, with hands-on experience in tools like Cypress, Playwright, or Testing Library.
  • Architecture expertise, including a solid understanding of design patterns and integrating with microservices.
  • Bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish (C1 minimum) for global collaboration.
  • Proven track record of building responsive, SEO-friendly applications that scale.

In this role, you may sometimes work as an individual contributor. However, more often, you will lead a small frontend engineering team in delivering a solution that meets a given set of product requirements. In either case, you will be responsible for planning the technical work that needs to be done to accomplish your objectives and being hands-on in executing your plan. Minimum Qualifications 4+ years of hands-on experience in architecting, implementing, and delivering frontend solutions from a set of product requirements. 2+ years of experience in leading software development work in some capacity. A deep understanding of the Angular framework. A deep understanding of the React library and common React development patterns. Experience working with React-based frameworks such as Next.js, Vue, etc. Expert knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript. Experience using the Git version control system. Able and willing to mentor other frontend engineers. Comfortable working with a fully remote team. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Desired Qualifications In addition to the minimum qualifications, the ideal candidate meets some or all of the following desired qualifications. Familiarity with microservice architectures. Experience in designing APIs. Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, GitLab, TravisCI, etc. B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent from an accredited institution. Ambition is welcome to apply within. About the Role: We’re looking for a Sr. UX Engineer with 8+ years of experience to help build rich, interactive map-based web applications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across both UX design and frontend engineering, bringing complex datasets to life with elegant, high-performance interfaces. You’ll be responsible for implementing core features in React, working with WebGL and geospatial libraries to deliver dynamic visualization experiences. You’ll collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to translate user needs into intuitive, scalable UI components and workflows. Key Responsibilities: Build performant, responsive, and accessible user interfaces for map-based applications. Develop core functionality using React and visualization libraries such as Mapbox, Leaflet, or Deck.gl. Collaborate with designers to ensure user needs are reflected in implemented UIs.
