Role Description The Senior Financial Analyst – Product Costing & Quoting is a valued business partner with strong business acumen who develops and communicates accurate product costs to support customer quotations for new products and engineering changes. This role builds cost models, labor estimates, tooling, and capital expenditures; analyzes complex BOMs and manufacturing processes; and applies financial expertise to costing data. The analyst collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Assembly, and other teams—explaining costs organization-wide and recommending sell prices via financial models based on history, market data, competitive strategies, and key metrics. An ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to quickly understand, analyze, and navigate complex business situations to achieve positive, profit-driven outcomes. - Analyze complex Bills of Materials (BOMs) to develop product costs, including raw materials, purchased parts, labor, overhead, tooling, and capital for new programs or engineering changes - Build and analyze financial models with price/cost sensitivity - Valued business partner to Sales and Product Line Managers, contribute to pricing strategies that secure new business - Deliver customer quote packages, including piece prices, tooling breakdowns, and price walks from current to future states - Track program margins from launch to completion, ensuring alignment with quote targets - Partner with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, Assembly, and other departments to explain product costs, identify savings, and drive cost reductions - Develop and maintain sales forecasts and budgets for assigned products - Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications - Four-year college technical degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field. - 4-10 years of experience in product costing in manufacturing - Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (financial modeling, pivot tables, index-match) - Strong financial and analytical skills (e.g., make-vs-buy analysis, net present value) - Strong communication skills, including executive presentations - Proven interpersonal and teamwork abilities Requirements - Experience in product costing in automotive industry (preferred) - Foreign language skills in Spanish (preferred) Company Description STRATTEC SECURITY CORPORATION is an equal opportunity employer and practices affirmative action to recruit, hire, train, upgrade, transfer and promote persons in all job titles without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
