• Going from 0 to 1 - Build and productionize machine learning models. • Design and execute product experiments to help improve Wealthsimple’s client experience. • Work with cross-functional teams within Growth, Product, Marketing, and Engineering. • Translate experimental results into products and solutionsSpearhead data modelling strategyEnsure models are well tested, documented and maintained. • Believe that simple is better, Occam's razor is your friendTake ownership and ship it; release incrementally and iteratively. • Teach and learn from your teammates. Job Requirements

  • Deep experience in building end-to-end productionized machine learning pipelines.
  • Deep experience in complex experimental design (A/B tests, factorial design).
  • Strong technical skills in coding (SQL & Python) and statistical methods.
  • Comfortable with data modelling and software engineering best practices such as dbt, unit testing and version control.
  • Extensive experience with machine learning feature engineering.
  • Results-driven: keeping things as simple as possible to achieve the product goals and ship new products.
  • Curiosity: willing to dive deep into product strategies and business context.
  • Able to build and maintain multi-functional relationships with various teams across the business.
  • Experience working in the risk management domain is a plus
