Senior Systems/Project Engineer

Wingman Group

• The Senior Systems / Project Engineer is responsible for leading technical solution design, deployment, and support across Fortify Technology’s managed clients, with a primary focus on Microsoft 365, Intune MDM, and digital transformation projects. • Solution Design & Implementation Architect and deliver Microsoft 365-based solutions including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Entra ID integration. • Design and deploy Intune MDM and Autopilot for endpoint standardisation, compliance, and automation. • Deliver hybrid identity, device management, and zero-trust architecture projects. • Plan and execute digital transformation initiatives including migrations from legacy infrastructure to modern cloud-first environments. • Project Delivery - Manage end-to-end technical delivery for assigned client projects. • Produce detailed implementation plans, configuration documentation, and risk assessments. • Liaise with vendors, stakeholders, and clients to ensure clear expectations, scope control, and successful outcomes. • Maintain project documentation within Fortify’s PSA (HaloPSA) and knowledge systems. • Act as Tier 3 escalation point for complex technical incidents. • Maintain and optimise client environments within best-practice frameworks. • Support proactive maintenance, patch management, and monitoring initiatives through Fortify’s RMM and SOC platforms. • Implement and enforce device compliance, Conditional Access, MFA, DLP, and encryption policies within Microsoft 365. • Ensure solutions align with ISO 27001, Essential 8, and Fortify’s internal governance standards. • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support technicians. • Contribute to standard operating procedures (SOPs), configuration baselines, and technical documentation. • Participate in internal reviews to improve Fortify’s service delivery, automation, and client experience.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in systems engineering or IT project delivery roles.
  • Microsoft Certified (MCSA, MS-700, MS-102, or SC-900+ desirable).
  • Proven project experience deploying Microsoft 365 and Intune solutions.
  • Experience working in or supporting Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts into client-friendly language.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem including:
  • Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Intune MDM / Autopilot
  • SharePoint / OneDrive / Teams
  • Conditional Access / Compliance / DLP
  • Microsoft Defender for Business / Endpoint.
  • Sound understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Experience with scripting (PowerShell preferred) for automation and reporting.
  • Exposure to RMM/PSA platforms such as HaloPSA and N-Central highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with SOC, SIEM, and security event management tools (Adlumin, etc.) is advantageous.
