• Develop, test, document, and deploy high quality software into production • Develop a fundamental understanding of our industry, product, feature set and roadmap • Implement new features from functional requirements to logic and UI with guidance • Learn and follow the principles, guidelines, and best practices of our engineering strategy • Work closely with our product team, design, and other internal stakeholders • Participate in an on-call rotation • Escalate when tasks or projects hit roadblocks • Participate in code reviews • Contribute to team planning and design discussions • Impact software quality and customer experience of product features • Collaborate effectively with team members

• Make rapid improvements to existing Java/Angular Code base to solve production problems • Identify and solve performance bottlenecks • Help institute a more mature SDLC • Gain knowledge and control of our loyalty platform integration points (live API's, Batch, Queue based processing). • Participate in design sessions; work with product owners and team members to solve acceptance criteria • Build and maintain all configuration and business logic rule documentation • Assist other team members through coaching and mentoring • Promote and demonstrate good coding practice and patterns for the team • Set accurate time estimates and scope of work for tasks and/or projects assigned to you • Fill information gaps as needed to accomplish gaps • Develop simple solutions to complex problems • Suggest innovative new ways to improve processes and/or components of work • Effectively work with other groups and third parties
