Risk Specialist, iGaming

Torrero

• Monitor player behavior to identify fraud, bonus abuse, arbitrage, collusion, and other exploitative patterns • Proactively profile customers using wagering behavior, transactional data, and risk indicators • Involve in account verification • Check internal and third-party alerts, producing clear, evidence-based conclusions • Build, maintain, and optimize fraud and risk analysis datasets to improve detection accuracy • Identify linked accounts and coordinated betting behavior across products and platforms • Assess financial risk exposure by reviewing transactional and operational data across business units • Document suspicious or unusual activity in line with internal risk frameworks • Communicate findings, trends, and emerging risks to leadership in a concise and actionable manner • Partner with operations, customer support, AML, payments and product teams to resolve risk issues efficiently • Maintain a strong working knowledge of internal casino policies, tools, and risk controls • Support incident reviews by identifying root causes and contributing to preventive measures

Job Requirements

  • Relevant experience in risk, fraud, or player protection within the iGaming industry (online casino/sportsbetting)
  • Strong understanding of casino games, sports betting, and player lifecycle risks
  • Hands-on experience reviewing wagering patterns, bonuses, payments, and player behavior
  • Solid analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail
  • Confidence in making risk-based decisions with limited regulatory guidance
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with fraud/risk tools is a plus
