Role Description Join nesto — proudly named Canadian Rocketship 2025*. A Deloitte Fast 50 company evolving alongside Canada’s top tech innovators and disrupting a 2.1 Trillion-dollar mortgage industry at light speed by building the mortgage ecosystem of the future. You'll be joining the Origination stream, the product area responsible for the end-to-end mortgage journey, covering self-serve and advisor-supported application flows, underwriting, decisioning, and funding. This is a Senior PM role where part of your mandate is to help shape and own your specific substream within origination. Your closest collaborators will be engineering teams building on Nesto Cloud, mortgage operations and underwriting experts, and the brokers and advisors who depend on these tools to serve clients. What You'll Be Doing - Act as one of the primary origination subject-matter experts for your substream. - Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and feature prioritization for your area. - Identify and assess the impact of new lending features, regulatory changes, and origination workflow evolutions. - Work closely with engineering, design, QA, operations, and compliance to validate designs and proposed solutions. - Support the backlog refinement process by prioritizing origination-related epics and stories. - Participate in release planning, UAT, and pre-launch readiness. - Conduct research on industry trends, evolving regulations, origination technologies, and competitor approaches. - Create and maintain detailed documentation of origination processes, scenarios, requirements, and system behaviours. - Act as the go-to expert for your origination workflows. - Actively use AI tools to accelerate your PM workflow. - Stay ahead of how AI is reshaping mortgage origination and bring informed recommendations to the roadmap. Qualifications - 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in product management, ideally with exposure to mortgage origination or lending. - Understanding of end-to-end origination functions from application flows to funding processes. - Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to mortgage and consumer lending. - Experience working with origination platforms or lending technology. - Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with product, engineering, design, operations, compliance, and QA teams. - Exceptional problem-solving skills with an ability to anticipate downstream impacts. - Strong communication skills to explain complex origination concepts clearly. - Proven, active fluency with AI tools across your PM workflow. Preferred But Not A Must - Experience with other lending products such as HELOC, personal loans, or construction financing. - Familiarity with broker and advisor-facing workflows. - Exposure to AI or ML-assisted decisioning, document intelligence, or automation in a financial services context. You Shouldn't Apply If - You're only comfortable in a well-defined product area. - You treat AI tools as a curiosity rather than a daily accelerant. - You hand off a PRD and consider your job done. - You don't thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and sometimes ambiguous environment. - You are not open to experimentation and continuous improvement. Interview Process - Recruiter Screen – 30 minutes - Discovery Call with Director of Product – 30 minutes - Take-home Assignment followed by Presentation and Q&A – 60 minutes - Final Stakeholder Interview – 45 minutes - Criminal Record and Reference Checks + Offer The Reward - Work alongside high-performing talent in product, tech, and the mortgage industry. - The slope of your learning curve here will be vertical. - Premium benefits plan fully paid by nesto. - 4 weeks of vacation to ensure you stay at peak performance. - Everything you need to execute without friction, including AI tools. - The environment that makes you productive and enables real teamwork.
