Join BlackLine as a Senior Front-End Engineer and contribute to the modernization of our enterprise web platform. You'll architect and implement micro-frontend App Shell architecture, migrate features from legacy .NET systems, and implement front-end standards within the team. This is a hands-on coding role focused on building high-performance, secure, and accessible web applications using modern technologies. You'll Get To: - Component Development: Design and implement scalable front-end features and contribute to reusable component libraries, leveraging technologies such as Webpack Module Federation. - Modernize & Migrate: Execute the migration from legacy .NET applications to modern React-based solutions within the micro-frontend App Shell architecture. - Define Integration Strategies: Implement shared authentication and login workflows across multiple micro-apps, configure URL routing for multiple apps on the same domain, and enable inter-app communication. - Drive Engineering Excellence: Implement performance optimizations, observability, and security improvements across assigned front-end systems. - Quality & Standards: Write clean, secure, and maintainable code that meets performance standards. Champion code quality through peer code reviews, and comprehensive testing (Unit, Integration, E2E). - Mentorship: Mentor junior developers, share knowledge with the team, and contribute to continuous process improvements. What You'll Bring: - Experience: 4-8 years of professional experience in front-end software development. - Core Technologies: Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and modern build tools (Webpack, Vite, Rollup). - Architecture: Solid understanding of micro-frontends, legacy modernization, and experience with CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments. - SDLC Ownership: Experience managing the feature lifecycle: from translating stakeholder requirements into technical specifications to driving the development process. - Testing & Accessibility: Proficiency in unit testing and end-to-end testing using Jest, Testing Library, Vitest, and Playwright. - UI & Design Systems: A deep understanding of design systems, including Storybook, design tokens, component-driven development, and CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS) and responsive design for flexible layouts. Soft Skills: Ability to work independently on complex tasks, estimate deliverables accurately, and collaborate effectively in an agile environment.
