As a technical leader on our team, you will... - Chart the future of Cribl’s engineering tools, systems and practices. - Conceptualize and direct the evolution of our Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) metrics, capabilities and processes based on the state of the art and industry best practices. - Build a deep understanding of our engineering culture, tools and practices. Identify what works and what needs improvement. - Engage with engineers to understand their needs, concerns and desires. Improve the overall development experience, reduce friction, remove bottlenecks and assure quality, security and reliability across the entire SDLC. - Strategize on effectively integrating AI into our SDLC, ensuring clear business value, benefit to engineers, and return on investment. - Uncover risks and seek out inefficiencies, waste and bottlenecks across the SDLC. - Advocate engineering-wide improvements in governance, security and quality. - Participate in on-call. If You Got It, We Want It: - Extensive experience with enterprise-scale engineering environments. - 5+ years of experience in a Devtools, DevOps or Engineering productivity role. - Experience as a tech lead providing technical direction and guidance to a technical domain or team. - Deep understanding of engineering best practices across the tech industry. - Comfortable with a high level of autonomy and working with a distributed team - Passion for software quality and craft. - Development with JavaScript, Node.js or TypeScript in a Linux or Mac environment. - Experience with SCM, SCA, CI/ CD pipelines and Build tools. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with agentic AI in software development - Knowledge of cloud design patterns for scale, data management, resiliency and performance. - Knowledge of cloud platforms and container & orchestration technologies - Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure and application security Salary Range ($220,000 - 290,000) The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location. The salary offered within the range described will be based on the individual candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
