• Act as a true subject matter expert for the country • Manage existing relationships with key stakeholder within Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, Engineers. • Process full end to end payroll in-house, statutory filing requirements, exceptions, approvals, payments and compliance. • Ensure full data integrity and quality • Accounting/reconciliations • Focus on KPIs and SLAs • Implement and improve processes • Mentor and support payroll specialists • Back up regional managers during times of absence

• As a GP Compliance Expert, you are the owner of payroll compliance for your country or region. • You hold deep expertise in local legislation and apply it across everything from audits to product design. • You’ll translate complex rules into scalable processes, systems, and documentation — ensuring Remote continuously meets (and anticipates) regulatory standards. • You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Operations, and Legal to embed compliance into the foundations of our global payroll platform. • You’ll lead investigations and incident resolution, drive continuous improvement, and mentor teams to raise compliance capability across the organization. • This role blends subject-matter expertise with strategic systems thinking — making you a key architect in how Remote builds compliant, automated global payroll at scale.

• Spearhead the strategic development and execution of global payroll risk and incident management. • Lead critical programs to enhance our risk posture, drive resolution of high-impact incidents and partner across teams. • Mentor team members, evolve frameworks, and influence how Remote grows with control and confidence. • Drive the strategic use and evolution of the Country Maturity Matrix and other risk scoring tools. • Oversee quarterly and ad-hoc risk assessments, ensuring accurate, scalable processes and actionable outputs. • Serve as the escalation point and lead coordinator for complex or high-impact payroll incidents globally. • Establish scalable, high-trust processes for triaging, investigating, and learning from incidents. • Mentor and develop Specialists and Managers in risk assessment, incident handling, and RCA facilitation.

The Envoy Billing and Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing an accurate and timely biweekly payroll which involves multiple entities, state jurisdictions, covering approximately 20,000 locum clinician hours and related travel expenses.
