• Translating official Manga/ Manhua/ Manhwa comics that we licensed to English. • Using our localization tool to adjust & make sure the translated texts fit into the text boxes. • Collaborating with proofreaders & quality checkers.
Job Requirements
- Native Chinese/ Japanese/ Korean fluency is preferable.
- Native/Advanced English fluency.
- Excellent grammar, syntax, writing, and editing skills in both Chinese/ Japanese/ Korean and English.
- Understanding of the North American/British culture and the ability to provide contextual translation for our global audience.
- Computer skills; ability to learn and utilize new software applications.
- Highly responsible, organized & detail-oriented, love to read comics.
- Good communication skills and eagerness to experience, learn, and improve yourself.
- Understanding of mature content (BL/GL, etc.) and accepting different types of content (preferred).
- Can work with us for at least 3 months and have a sufficient amount of free time to take on some urgent projects.
- University degree or equivalent professional experience in (comics) translation/localization.
- Good understanding of the comics industry and/or avid passion for webtoons/comics.
- Interest in Chinese/ Japanese/ Korean culture & sensitive content.

This involves communication with both internal and external resources to achieve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness targets. This role's main goal is to manage job tasks using interpreting/translation project management systems. This is an on-call position and is on an as-needed basis.
