Position Title & Summary The Director, Programmatic Sales is a key sales point of contact responsible for programmatic revenue growth. The ideal candidate is a motivated, self- starter, who has an understanding of direct sales and the programmatic advertising landscape. Within this role, you must be comfortable with developing relationships internally and externally, and have a track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.   Essential responsibilities - Own the sales cycle from beginning to end; prospecting, identifying opportunities, establishing the right connections, creating sales proposals and presentations, and ideating custom opportunities - Participate in programmatic sales efforts to identify existing and potential advertisers KPIs; aligning them with Mediavine’s offerings  - Proactively build, maintain, and expand on sales targets, advertiser relationships, and sales opportunities - Collaborate with Mediavine stakeholders to properly strategize pre-sale activities, execute and close opportunities - Increase the industry presence of a premiere portfolio totaling 30 billion impressions and 150 million unique visitors per month  - Effectively develop relationships with major advertisers and agencies to generate short and long-term revenue growth  - Utilize ad technologies, programmatic setups, and analytics tools to optimize ad sales - Required travel on an as needed basis, up to once a month for industry events and internal company retreat(s)

Job Requirements

  • You Have:
  • 3+ years of progressive experience selling programmatic advertising
  • Established relationships within the Programmatic industry, including but not limited to: SSPs, DSPs, Data Partners and AdTech Vendors
  • Experience selling private marketplace Deal IDs and programmatic guaranteed, with a track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience with negotiating complex deals that meet strategic revenue goals
  • Ability to set up PMP deals and troubleshoot issues.
  • Strong relationships with advertisers directly, and their agencies of record
  • Experience in solutions based sales organizations
  • Experience engaging with clients to maximize their potential and relationships
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both in person and virtually
  • Proficiency and comfortability with real-time communication and technology vital to the fast-paced ad tech industry
  • Proven skills in problem-solving, follow-through, attention to detail and prioritization
  • A positive attitude and strong self-motivation
  • Ability to be a collaborative, team player
  • Ability to travel to up to 20%
