Role Description As a Senior Engineer, you will own the technical health and architectural evolution of mission-critical Java backends. You will act as the primary anchor for complex 3-tier architectures and SQL databases, orchestrating high-performance API integrations and modernizing system workflows. This role requires an autonomous mindset to navigate diverse codebases, provide clarity through documentation, and drive technical excellence across the delivery lifecycle. Key Responsibilities - Backend Execution: Lead the development of robust Java architectures, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability. - API Orchestration: Design and evolve seamless RESTful integrations to automate and streamline enterprise workflows. - Database Mastery: Manage SQL environments, focusing on schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning. - Team Influence: Elevate team output through deep code reviews, technical mentorship of mid-level and junior engineers, and clear communication with stakeholders. - Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify technical debt, reverse-engineer complex logic, and implement modern methodologies to improve efficiency. Qualifications - 5+ years of dedicated backend development experience. - Advanced proficiency in Java and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate). - Strong experience in SQL database management, complex stored procedures, and performance tuning. - Deep understanding of CI/CD, Git, and cloud-native environments (Azure or AWS). - Proven experience with microservices or distributed 3-tier architectures. - Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal) for collaboration with US-based clients. - Mandatory experience in nearshore/offshore client-facing startup cultures. • Develop high-quality software design and architecture by studying information needs, systems flow, data usage, and work processes. • Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle. • Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code. • Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting. • Review and debug code to ensure the software is of the highest quality. • Document development phases and monitor systems. • Ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies.

• Play a pivotal role in redesigning existing applications and migrating from Ab Initio to Python and Oracle SQL • Work collaboratively with stakeholders and a variety of internal teams, including architects, developers, and testers • Hands-on designing, coding, and testing of Python applications • Analyze test results and remedy code in a timely fashion

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain highly scalable and responsive services/APIs using C#/.NET/.NET Core • Collaborate with a variety of internal teams during the SDLC, including product, QA, UX, etc. • Sync up with the platform team on architectural best practices to ensure reliability and scalability • Take part in code reviews to continuously elevate the code quality • Mentor associate-level software engineers on SDLC best practices
