Signify Health, part of CVS Health®, is seeking a Per Diem Physician to provide In-Home Health Evaluations, engaging with people in the comfort of their own homes and helping bridge gaps in care. You’ll play a critical role in building trusted relationships to make people healthier, helping bring flexible, comprehensive and personalized health evaluations right to people’s front doors. Job highlights The visit, which lasts about 45 minutes, allows for time to connect one-on-one and answer health questions. It includes a medication and medical history review, a physical evaluation, and, if ordered by the person’s health plan, additional diagnostic tests (i.e., diabetic eye exams, spirometry, etc.). You’ll use an iPad and an intuitive clinical workflow for each evaluation and are not required to prescribe medicine, order lab tests or alter people’s current treatment regimen. We are dedicated to meeting health plan members where they are, wherever they call home. These environments are diverse and may present a variety of conditions. The number of In-Home Health Evaluations (and associated visits) completed per day may vary. Pay is dependent on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant criteria. This position is eligible for other reimbursement opportunities, including pay per completed Diagnostic and Preventative Services (DPS), as ordered, in addition to the base pay listed above. Anticipated Weekly Hours 12 Time Type Part time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $83.69 - $180.25 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. POSITION OVERVIEW In this role, you will apply your clinical expertise to evaluate requests for medical services, interpret benefit language and medical policies, and make sound coverage determinations. You may also engage in peer-to-peer discussions with treating providers. This position emphasizes independent clinical judgment, thorough documentation, and collaboration with a nationwide team of Medical Directors. The physician provides clinical support to the Payment Integrity Office (PIO) to ensure that fraud, waste, and abuse efforts are performed in accordance with the highest and most current clinical standards. Responsible to review cases and evaluate billing and coding accuracy, medical necessity and appropriateness of the treatment service. Responsible for appropriate application of Medical Policy and criteria for reviews, audits, and investigations. Provide necessary support to the anti-fraud program which involves conducting reviews of organization or functional activities related to alleged fraud, waste, and abuse perpetrated by providers, members, facilities, pharmacies, and /or groups. Key Responsibilities: • Overall case guidance and consulting to ensure that fraud, waste, and abuse efforts are performed with the highest and most current clinical standards • Apply health plan review hierarchy to member contracts, medical policy, clinical guidelines and other approved resources to render timely decisions on services provided to members • Perform reviews and participate in peer-to-peer discussions of inpatient DRG Clinical Validation audits and appeals • Serves as a resource for information and consultation on the issues related to utilization management and clinical services • Approval and direction of consultant reviews.
