Role Description Children's Wisconsin is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Financial Services Department. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in core accounting, reporting, and financial analysis while supporting our mission-driven healthcare organization. Location: Remote, with preference for candidates who are local Work Schedule: Approximately 0–30 hours per week depending on workload and school schedule. What you will do: - Performs basic accounting and analysis tasks and special projects in the Financial Services Department as requested. - May communicate Financial Services information to other Health System personnel. - The position reports to the Financial Services Manager. Essential Functions - Posts general ledger journal entries as part of the monthly accounting close process. - Prepares monthly reconciliations of designated general ledger balance sheet accounts. - Assists with monitoring daily cash. - Assists with the annual budget preparation. - Gathers data from various sources (Children’s Insight Report Center, Excel Power Query, GL, other) and writes/generates reports as requested. - Assists with variance analysis. - Performs basic clerical functions such as refund deposits, accounts payable filing, bank reconciliations, data collection, etc. - Reviews check requests and employee reimbursement forms received in A/P. Ensure proper completion of forms with submitting individual prior to entry into online payment systems. - Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis, and investigate issues, provide explanations, and interpretation. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree working towards a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or working towards a Masters of Accounting. Requirements - Requires the knowledge of various accounting principles and data processing functions. - The position requires exercise of judgment, good organization skills, and good communication skills. - Knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and other Office applications in a Windows environment. - Analytical ability to resolve problems and recommend solutions for areas of responsibility. - Requires excellent organizational skills to independently prioritize workload and accomplish tasks in a timely manner. - Requires good interpersonal skills in order to effectively and efficiently interact with coworkers in the finance department and at the clinic sites. Role Description They are looking for an Accounting Manager to join their Accounting & Finance team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading aspects of the accounting function at the Corporate entity that provides Shared Services to Brands in the Client network. - Manage the day-to-day operations for general ledger accounting areas. - Liase and assist AR, Billing, AP and Finance with various inquiries. - Review monthly close entries prepared by staff (Prepaid, Fixed Assets, accruals, deferred rent, AMEX entries, etc.) - Oversee accounting staff to ensure a timely close and reporting deadlines. - Review balance sheet account reconciliations as well as prepare general ledger account analyses by reviewing transactions within the general ledger to ensure accuracy within the GL account. - Maintain an orderly accounting filing system. - Prepare/review Audit schedules as assigned and conduct audit research and answer questions. - Assist with preparing year end tax schedules. - Oversee intercompany reconciliation process. - Support month end ancillary package and hyperion trial balance uploads. - Serves as a back-up for various areas within the Shared Service Department. - Assist with Ad hoc requests as assigned. - Assist in the development and... Qualifications - Experience with large ERP and Accounting Software preferred (SAP, Oracle, INTACCT, Net Suite, Maconomy, etc). - Strong technical accounting skills (knowledge of GAAP, FASB and SEC accounting and disclosure requirements) and proficiency with researching accounting literature. - Must be able to reconcile accounts and be able to perform GL analysis. - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. - CPA (or equivalent) preferred. - Previous experience with Consolidations and strong experience with Intercompany eliminations. - Minimum 2 years of experience managing an accounting team. - Advanced Excel skills required (vlookup, sumifs, sumif, pivot tables). - 5-7 years of accounting experience. - Ability to set priorities, multi-task, meet critical deadlines and pay attention to detail. - Highly organized and motivated self-starter with good interpersonal communication skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Located in Latam. - Fluent English level.
