Electrical BIM Coordinator
Facility Solutions Group
Role Description As an entry-level BIM Coordinator, you will work with our Electrical Construction team by providing high-quality drawings for new build construction projects as well as a variety of existing buildings at our Dallas, Texas location. Candidates will possess the ability to work on electrical designs for commercial and retail projects. The ideal candidate will be able to work with the electrical construction team to deliver the designs and specifications of the client within the set timeframes and budget. We are looking for self-motivated individuals with knowledge of the electrical trade. BIM-related software and modeling knowledge is a plus. - Review electrical wiring and lighting plans, schedules, one-line diagrams, and details for a variety of projects - Audit and review models and drawings for each project and prepare for the production team - Must be able to read/interpret plans and drawings - Maintain project drawing files, file layering, drawing library, and associated records and documentation - Perform limited design functions including layout of equipment and spatial planning in the electrical model - Build 3D models using Revit/Evolve and NavisWorks - 3D Modeling of Electrical Components - BIM coordination including clash detection and resolution using NavisWorks Manage - Upload our models and follow the GC lead BIM coordination process through to Model sign off - Mentor and train Detailers in the production of the detailed shop drawings - Work with and maintain relationships with our Operations team, the General Contractor and MEP Trade team members - Assist with the development and maintenance of FSG standards Qualifications - Licensed journeyman Electrician with at least 6 years of experience - MUST be able to pass Drug and Background screen - Valid driver’s license - Basic understanding of Electrical Systems and drafts - Experienced communicating technical information with others - Willing to work in a full-time office environment with others Requirements - 22 Days PTO with Cash Out Options - 401K Program with matching contribution, day one! - Employer-paid healthcare (multiple plan options available), Vision, Dental and Life benefits Company Description Facility Solutions Group is dedicated to timeless contribution and service in lighting, electrical, energy, and technology fields.
