• Development, programming and implementation of Shopware 6 stores based on modern e‑commerce architectures • Further development, maintenance and optimization of existing Shopware 6 systems during live operation as well as within projects (e.g., relaunches, extensions, custom developments) • Design, development and maintenance of custom Shopware 6 plugins and apps to extend functionality according to client requirements • Technical implementation and configuration of complex e‑commerce projects, including backend customization and integration with external systems • Frontend implementation and customization of Shopware 6 themes based on design mockups (e.g., Adobe XD), taking usability, performance and responsive design into account • Specification, development and integration of interfaces (e.g., API-, XML- or REST-based connections to third‑party systems) • Close collaboration with project management, design and other developers to implement technical solutions efficiently • Participation in project status, coordination and milestone meetings and active contribution to technical concepts • Direct communication with client contacts for technical alignment, consulting and solution finding
Job Requirements
- Solid experience developing with Shopware 6, ideally gained across multiple client projects in an agency or e‑commerce environment (knowledge of Shopware 5 is a plus but not required)
- Several years of professional experience (at least 3 years) in object‑oriented PHP development
- Very good knowledge of the Symfony framework or comparable PHP frameworks
- Experience in developing and customizing Shopware 6 plugins and apps
- Confident handling of REST APIs and interfaces for integrating external systems
- Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS (e.g., SCSS) and JavaScript, ideally with experience in Shopware themes
- Technical understanding of modern e‑commerce architectures, performance optimization and clean code structures
- Solution‑oriented mindset with a focus on practical, sustainable results rather than mere problem description
- Independent, structured and responsible working style, both in project work and in ongoing operations
- Interest in new technologies, continuous development and best practices in the Shopware and e‑commerce domain
- Good German language skills at C1 level to communicate confidently with clients and within the team
- Shopware certifications (e.g., Shopware 6 Certified Developer) are an advantage but not a prerequisite
