• Architecture & Implementation: You design and implement scalable, highly available solutions on Microsoft Azure and AWS. • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): You automate complex infrastructures using Terraform and Bash scripting and integrate them into professional CI/CD pipelines. • Cloud Native Development: You develop business-critical backend services and APIs using Python or Go to extend and optimize cloud platforms. • Network & Security Engineering: You analyze and resolve fundamental IT challenges at the level of network topologies (OSI layers 3 to 7), routing, and DNS management. • Modern Workloads: You are responsible for building and operating container platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and ensuring their compliance and security. • Technical Consulting: You act as a technical point of contact for our clients, present architecture designs, and support strategic cloud adoption.
Job Requirements
- Solid IT expertise: A degree in computer science or a comparable qualification with a strong technical focus.
- Relevant cloud experience: Deep expertise in the administration and architecture of Azure (ideally complemented by AWS knowledge).
- Proficiency with IaC: Practical experience in automating infrastructures, particularly with Terraform.
- Software engineering skills: Strong knowledge of development with Python or Go and a deep understanding of modern API design.
- Networking competence: A solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S), load balancing, and security architectures.
- Linux system knowledge: Confident handling of Linux environments and CLI-based workflows.
- Communication skills: Business-fluent German and English, with the ability to convey complex topics to different audiences.
- Methodology: Experience working with agile methods (Scrum/Kanban) and with Git-based workflows.

Leidos was awarded the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services contract and currently has an opening for a Oracle Cloud Infrastructure GCP Architecture and Engineering Manager. This position focuses on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Engineering and Support and will coordinate across multiple areas as the program supports AWS, Azure, Google, and Oracle clouds. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to modernize a leading, global-scale multi-cloud environment in support of a critical mission, supporting USAF system resiliency, security, and cost effectiveness. Location: This position will be remote with travel to specific locations as needed. We are seeking highly capable Cloud Architects with expertise in multiple cloud platforms. A successful individual will be responsible for designing scalable cloud-native solutions, leading development efforts, and ensuring best practices across architecture, development, deployment, and security. This is a combination management and hands-on technical role that requires rolling up your sleeves to architect, code, debug, and mentor.
