What You Will Do Under general supervision, you provide engineering technical expertise, guidance, and leadership for environmental water projects and programs as assigned. You serve as a project manager or technical expert on complex environmental projects; conceptualize and support planning for potential projects; prepare scopes of work and Requests For Proposal; evaluate consultant submittals; recommend consultant selection; oversee consultant work; edit work products; and manage budgets. You oversee development of flow and transport modeling scenarios for permitting, regulatory demonstrations, and agency review; facilitate data collection, management, integration, analysis, output, and presentation using EQuIS database and visualization systems; perform hydrogeologic assessments and oversee groundwater and surface water investigations; review and recommend actions for facility expansions, modifications, or closures affecting environmental discharges, emissions, and hazardous materials; maintain and prepare records and reports; present technical evaluations and plans; provide leadership to engineers and technicians; determine and assess environmental risk and develop regulatory documentation; maintain current knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g., CERCLA, NEPA, SARA, Clean Air and Water Acts); and perform other duties as required.
