Role Description We are looking for a Freelance DevOps Engineer to join a large-scale telecommunications project within a Digital Factory environment. The role focuses on modernizing core systems by transitioning from legacy platforms to scalable microservices architectures, ensuring high availability and performance at scale. Key Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments - Support development teams with application deployment on cloud and container platforms (AWS, Kubernetes/OpenShift) - Ensure reliable, automated deployments from development to production - Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to improve delivery speed and system reliability - Implement DevOps best practices (Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, logging) - Manage and optimize containerized applications and microservices architectures - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure scalability and availability - Contribute to platform services setup, including configuration and secrets management - Drive continuous improvement in automation and deployment processes - Support incident management, root cause analysis, and preventive actions Qualifications - 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role - Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git-based pipelines) - Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift - Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms - Good understanding of microservices architectures - Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Grafana, Elasticsearch) - Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Fluent German (mandatory) and strong English communication skills - Ability to work in agile, cross-functional teams Engagement Details - Freelance / B2B - Full-time - Start: ASAP - Location: Remote / EU - Duration: 31 Dec 2026 - with 24 month extension
