This is a remote position. Job Title: Snowflake Informatica Engineer Work Type: Remote Employment Type: Contract (C2C) Duration: 4+ Months Contract (Possible Extension) Visa: USC / GC / GC EAD only Job Description: We are looking for a Senior Snowflake Informatica Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud (IICS), and Snowflake. This role focuses on migrating legacy ETL pipelines to cloud-based solutions on Azure and optimizing Snowflake data warehouse performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on individual contributor with expertise in data migration, metadata management, and performance tuning, capable of working independently in a fast-paced Agile environment. Key Responsibilities: - Migrate Informatica PowerCenter ETL workflows to Informatica Cloud (IICS) on Azure - Redesign and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for cloud scalability and performance - Perform end-to-end development, testing, and validation of migrated data pipelines - Analyze and clean up Snowflake metadata and unused objects - Optimize Snowflake performance and cost using metadata (ACCOUNT_USAGE, INFORMATION_SCHEMA) - Monitor and fine-tune query performance and warehouse utilization - Collaborate with architects, operations, and cross-functional teams - Support deployment planning and ensure smooth handoff to support teams - Prepare technical documentation and knowledge transfer artifacts Required Skills: - 10–12+ years of overall IT experience - 5+ years of experience in Informatica PowerCenter (ETL development) - Hands-on experience with Informatica Cloud (IICS/IDMC) migration - Strong expertise in Snowflake (SnowSQL, metadata, performance tuning) - Experience with Snowflake metadata analysis and optimization - Strong SQL and data modeling skills (ETL/ELT concepts) - Experience with Azure cloud platform (preferred but highly desired) - Strong communication skills and ability to work as an individual contributor Preferred Skills: - Experience with Azure Data Factory / Azure Data Lake - Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and Git - Experience with Power BI or other BI tools - Agile/Scrum experience - Snowflake Certification (SnowPro Core) - Experience working with distributed/global teams

Job Description What You’ll Do Data Platform Architecture - Design and evolve cloud‑native data platforms using S3, Lake Formation, Glue (catalog/ETL), Athena, EMR/EKS‑Spark, Redshift (including serverless), and Kinesis/MSK for streaming. - Define lake and lakehouse patterns, real‑time and batch pipelines, and governed self‑service analytics capabilities. Governance & Privacy - Implement PHI tokenization/pseudonymization, fine‑grained access controls (column/row level), Macie discovery, encrypted storage (KMS), and data retention/lineage strategies using Glue and tags. - Apply DLP and other privacy‑preserving controls aligned with HIPAA, GDPR, HITRUST, and FDA/ISO frameworks. Interoperability - Enable data exchange using FHIR, DICOM, HL7, and device telemetry through IoT Core into streaming and lake layers. ML & MLOps - Build governed ML workflows with SageMaker pipelines, model registry, lineage tracking, explainability, and bias reporting. - Support dataset versioning and incorporate human‑in‑the‑loop processes when needed. Self‑Service Data & Data Products - Lead data mesh/product governance, enable Redshift/Athena consumption, support DataZone cataloging and access workflows, and utilize Clean Rooms for privacy‑preserving collaboration. Reliability & Performance - Architect for resiliency across multi‑AZ/multi‑region deployments, including S3 replication, lifecycle management, partitioning/compaction, and cost‑efficient performance tuning.
