Mission of Role/Position Summary: The Intern will support all emergency management functions of ACDC by assisting their supervisor and/or Peer Mentor in organizational operations related to the department functions. Interns will participate in cross-training opportunities within ACDC’s various Divisions. Interns are expected to participate in professional development activities including training, meetings with leadership, policy research, and related functions. Each Intern will have a specific work portfolio based on skill sets and desired expertise of that individual. Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodation will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions: - This internship will provide a mix of exposure to emergency management operations and support, including..... - Support managers with administrative tasks and data entry. - Work on projects that have a direct impact on clients if available/needed. - Interns will be given the opportunity for shadowing experiences and exposure to various divisions and projects as available. - In limited circumstances, Interns may be asked to assist in matters related to research and development, project management/administration, or other corporate operations. - Assist in building and maintaining dashboards in Power BI; - Extract, clean, and transform data from multiple sources using SQL and Excel; - Write and optimize SQL queries, including joins across multiple datasets; - Support data validation and quality assurance processes; - Analyze data trends and provide insights to support recovery operations; - Collaborate with team members to define reporting requirements and KPIs; - Document data sources, processes, and dashboard logic; - Assist in automating recurring reports and workflows; - Participate in team meetings and present findings as needed - Perform other duties as assigned. Work on evenings and weekends may be required. Dependability and punctuality are paramount. Physical Demands: - Sitting or standing for hours at a time. - Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time if needed. Working Environment: - All AC Disaster Consulting (ACDC) positions are remote work site positions with the home location agreed upon at time of hire. - If the remote work site locations change, ACDC Human Resources must be made aware, and leadership needs to approve any site changes for business registration and payroll tax purposes.
Job Requirements
- Experience/Education Required:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics or a specialized function in a closely related field, or recent graduate in the past 12 months.
- 1 month - 1 year (beginner-level) knowledge/experience in data analysis concepts principles.
- 1 month - 1 year (beginner-level) customer service experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.
- Experience using Power BI or Tableau to create dashboards
- Experience working with real-world datasets (internships, academic projects, or personal projects)
- Knowledge of data cleaning and transformation techniques
- Basic experience with SQL (coursework or projects acceptable).
- Experience/Education Preferred:
- 1 year of previous emergency management-related internship, volunteering, or work experience.
- Exposure to disaster recovery, emergency management, or public sector data.
- Experience with automating reports or workflows
- Current GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Additional Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsored visa is required. We are not able to employ those located outside of the US or in Puerto Rico.

I. Job Summary WM is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Associate of Data Strategy to join our sustainability consultancy team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting and relevant standards and frameworks, complemented by advanced data management expertise. This includes designing and implementing processes and controls to ensure data integrity, conducting rigorous quality checks, and performing audits to validate compliance and accuracy. Strong skills in data analysis, visualization, and communication are essential, as well as experience in building scalable systems for monitoring and reporting. This role offers an opportunity to drive impactful sustainability strategies through disciplined data governance, actionable insights, and innovative approaches. II. Education and Experience Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Business or related field; High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant experience Experience: - 4 years of relevant work experience in project/business management (in addition to education requirement) and Environmental or services industry experience required. - Experience working in sports venues and event operations strongly preferred. - Direct experience covering organizational sustainability strategy development in the sports and entertainment industry, demonstrated by track record of advising on ambitions, targets, and programs strongly preferred. - Experience managing sustainability project with on site logistics support preferred. - Experience managing material minimization and diversion programs, supply chain analyses, and sustainable material management planning preferred. Work Environment Combination: This job operates in a mix between an office environment and plant/field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S. or is $87,000 - $127,535 . This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
