Sales Executive
Kinect Solar
Role Description We are seeking a driven and experienced Sales Executive to expand Kinect Solar’s presence in the distributed generation and small utility-scale markets. This individual will be responsible for developing long-term customer relationships, selling First Solar modules and related logistics services, and supporting sales strategy through data-driven insights and strong collaboration across internal teams. This role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to engage with sophisticated buyers across the solar ecosystem including developers, IPPs, EPCs, manufacturers, and utilities. - Sell First Solar modules to distributed generation and small utility scale buyers with a focus on deals 40 MWs and under. - Drive the sale of logistics and warehousing solutions, including financing and balance sheet services, to manufacturers and utility customers. - Identify, engage, and convert new prospects into repeat long-term customers. - Prepare compelling sales materials, proposals, financial models, and presentations for customer meetings and RFP responses. - Attend industry trade shows, host client visits, and lead in-person relationship-building efforts. - Track opportunities, maintain sales pipeline, and report activity using NetSuite and HubSpot. - Analyze competitive positioning, pricing, and technology trends in the PV and storage markets to inform Kinect Solar’s commercial strategy. - Collaborate with internal teams to optimize demand allocation, technical sales support, logistics, and contract execution. - Champion customer success by acting as a liaison between clients and internal stakeholders, advocating for shared goals and timely execution. Qualifications - 3+ years of direct experience in the renewable energy sector, including a successful track record selling to or working with major players such as IPPs, developers, utilities, and/or solar manufacturers. - Proven experience selling First Solar modules or strong familiarity with First Solar’s product suite and value proposition preferred. - Demonstrated ability to build rapport with executive-level decision-makers and close complex, high-value deals. - Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop pricing strategies and financial justifications for customers. - Knowledge of the PV technology landscape, LCOE drivers, and energy markets. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be comfortable in customer-facing presentations and negotiations. - Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment. Job Requirements
