Your Impact As a Principal Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) for a large portfolio of foundational product security services and features, you will shape Cisco’s vision and market positioning for resilient infrastructure and trustworthy technology. You will step into a senior leadership role within Cisco's engineering and product community as well as in the broader global landscape of standards-setting organizations and initiatives. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Champion Cisco products and solutions in the industry, representing our technical leadership at key events and forums. - Integrate a deep understanding of Cisco’s product security capabilities, customers, and market trends to identify new opportunities and adjacencies. - Influence the definition of current and next-generation technologies and capabilities, including post-quantum cryptography. - Guide the integration of customer feedback and industry needs into complex product architectures and cross-product initiatives. - Lead technical engagements with stakeholders, advocating for the value and utility of Cisco technologies. - Articulate the product and technology vision on industry-wide platforms, such as conferences and thought leadership forums. - Drive thorough competitive analyses and derive strategic conclusions to influence internal product roadmaps and business decisions. - Design and implement educational strategies to keep customers, partners, and sales teams informed on new product and technology releases. - Contribute to open-source communities and industry initiatives relevant to your area of expertise. - Engage with stakeholders and customers to understand requirements and deliver robust technical solutions. - Lead the creation of whitepapers, blogs, and other content to articulate Cisco's approach to resilient infrastructure and trustworthy technology - Mentor and guide junior product managers and TMEs, fostering growth and promoting best practices within the team. Minimum Qualifications - Bachelors + 15 years of related experience, or Masters + 12 years of related experience, or PhD +8 years of related experience. - Demonstrated experience shaping and contributing to global standards for cryptography and/or product security. - Extensive experience with technical ownership of complex products, platforms, or solutions. - Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Experience contributing to or leading open-source projects or technical communities. - Proven success influencing product strategy and roadmaps across multiple solutions. Preferred Qualifications - Demonstrated expertise in industry/market analysis and competitive positioning. - Experience presenting and advocating at industry forums, conferences, or advisory boards. - Strong skills in customer engagement, education, and technical enablement. - Advanced knowledge of Cisco products, networking technologies, or related platforms. - Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills. - Experience with cross-functional leadership, especially in large matrixed organizations. - Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams. - Background in performance optimization, security, or reliability engineering. Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time. U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco’s policies: - 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees - 1 paid day off for employee’s birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco - Non-exempt employees** receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees - Exempt employees participate in Cisco’s flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations) - 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next - Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members - Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco’s policies. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows: - .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota; - 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%; - 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and - Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid. The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below: New York City Metro Area: $225,000.00 - $374,100.00 Non-Metro New York state & Washington state: $208,600.00 - $330,000.00 * For quota-based sales roles on Cisco’s sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined. ** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.

Job Duties/Responsibilities: - Serve as the technical platform owner of enterprise communications responsible for the Talkdesk product implementation, administration, and integration across Alignment. This position will define and drive the product roadmap and strategy. - Design and manage IVR call flows, routing logic, agent scripting, and queue structures within Talkdesk Studio. - Partner with Talkdesk and internal teams to deploy AI-driven features (chatbots, virtual agents, speech analytics and predictive routing). - API & Integration Development: Collaborate with engineering teams to implement Talkdesk APIs, webhooks, and connectors for integration with AVA, Facets, Salesforce, and other enteprise platforms. - Define and implement real-time dashboards, reporting structures, and call analytics to support CMS compliance, STAR ratings, and operational KPIs (e.g., AHT, FCR, service levels), Monitor end-to-end claims payment workflows, ensuring accuracy and identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency. - Act as a liaison between IT, operations, compliance, and Talkdesk to ensure technical solutions support Member, Provider and Broker experience teams and workflows. - Ensure all configurations meet HIPAA and CMS Medicare Advantage requirements, including call recording, member authentication, audit reporting, and retention standards. - Collaborate with DTS, Operations, Finance, and Compliance leadership to resolve production issues and deliver enhancements. - Act as SME for internal stakeholders on Contact center features and capabilities.
