Role Description Deliver curriculum, instruction, and support remotely using video conferencing tools from an assigned base school in the district. - Provide leadership to effectively plan, coordinate and implement programs of instruction that ensure students an opportunity to reach their highest social, emotional, and academic potential. - Meet and instruct assigned classes in the location and at the time designated. - Select and present materials required in the teaching assignment within the framework of the content limitations of state and system curriculum guides. - Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students. - Develop and implement classroom technology that may relate to the use of audio, video, graphics, research technologies, and other tools to facilitate learning. - Prepare for classes assigned and show evidence of preparation upon request of the principal or designee. - Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. - Provide adequate background information and materials when a substitute teacher assumes responsibilities. - Maintain satisfactory attendance defined by the system or local school handbook. - Comply with conditions stated in the contract of employment. - Comply with the federal, state, and local board of education requirements for the development of educationally appropriate instruction. - Assist the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct and work cooperatively with all staff members in attaining school goals and objectives. - Develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedures and maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just manner. - Attend and participate in staff, department, team, or grade-level meetings and serve on staff committees as required. - Participate as required in professional development opportunities. - Participate as required in the appropriate state annual evaluation process. - Perform such additional responsibilities as may be assigned by the building administrators. Qualifications - Minimum of bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and state required certification. Qualifications - Minimum of bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. - State required certification for Special Education General Curriculum. Requirements - Ability to organize, coordinate, plan, and direct the implementation of a comprehensive classroom instructional program for students with disabilities. - Proficiency required in oral and written communication, interpersonal relations, and competency in counseling and evaluating students with disabilities. Experience - Successful teacher training and/or experiences at the level to which assigned. - Experience with Infinite Campus student information system and online GOIEP platform preferred.
