Role Description The Client Review Specialists provide another level of support for clients to interact with someone regarding their Client Record. In this role, you are responsible for: - Reviewing Disability Questionnaires and confirming completion of accurate information. - Coordinating with the client regarding their intake forms. - Supporting overall client satisfaction with the customer's products and services. - Operating with excellent communication skills, exemplary organization and time management skills, and expert attention to detail. - Motivating to support clients through quality execution of structured processes. Our Client Review team members work alongside their peers within both the Sales and Operations departments, ensuring an excellent standard of service for all clients. Day in the Life - Serve as a skilled and empathetic client support expert, supporting the total client lifecycle. - Connect with clients quickly and establish supportive relationships through confirmation of intake forms. - Understand the VA Rating Schedule and Disability Rating Guide to ensure information aligns with client conditions. - Conduct medical reviews over the phone and navigate difficult or technical conversations with ease and patience. - Adhere to departmental standards for Client Records, assuring low error rates and proper workflows. - Act as another point of contact for clients, responding promptly and reinforcing the value of the customer’s services. - Work closely with Client Experience, Disability Operations, Medical Services, and HIM teams. - Gather and share client insights and feedback to improve products and services. - Operate as a process coordinator, ensuring quality completion of Client Records and timely resolutions. - Ensure all information and data are accurate, updated, and compliant with policies safeguarding PII and PHI. Qualifications - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and navigating platforms such as Salesforce, ZoHo, Slack, and Teams. - Comfortable being on the phone for extended periods of time. - Highly organized with strong multitasking skills and attention to detail. - Proactive thinking with strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Track record of working in a fast-paced environment. - Analytical and problem-solving orientation. - High school diploma or equivalent required. Requirements - 2+ years of experience in medical records, medical operations, or medical customer-facing roles (preferred). - Associate or Bachelor’s degree (preferred). - Previous experience working in the medical industry (preferred). - Experience operating in a data-driven environment (preferred). - Experience working with the Veteran community or within VA regulations (preferred). Role Description This position is responsible for reviewing documentation of outpatient diagnostic and ancillary services for diagnostic radiology, meeting performance standards set for accurate and timely submission of charges and coding for professional and facility services. It will require maintaining hourly productivity standards and quality standards as set by Vee Healthtek, Inc. and Industry Standards. This position requires attendance at department meetings via conference call and Microsoft Teams. Coding Work Queue assignment will vary based on business needs or management assignment. - Analyzes medical records to abstract clinical data by assigning codes from patient records in accordance with the coding classification systems of ICD-10-CM and/or CPT, HCPCS. - Review patient encounters for accurate code assignment of all relevant diagnoses and procedures and/or modifiers. - Review and check for CCI bundling edits as well as NCD/LCD edits. - Enter appropriate codes into the client’s coding program for the transfer of data to billing files for reimbursement. - Queries manager when code assignments are not straightforward or documentation in the record is inadequate, ambiguous, or unclear for coding purposes. Primary Purpose The Primary Purpose of the Virtual Lead Coding Specialist is to improve internal and external quality audit scores for coders and the coding department by Conducting ad hoc coding quality reviews to proactively identify coder improvement opportunities, create and facilitate education and training action plans, and collaborate with Coding Integrity Quality and Compliance teams to reduce audit and denial risk to the organization from coding and billing. Demonstrates the ability to provide direction to coding staff as it relates to coding integrity, established coding guidelines and Parkland's policies to ensure accuracy of recorded patient medical information and appropriate reimbursement for services rendered. Minimum Specifications Education - High school diploma required. - Must have successfully completed an approved coding program; - OR Must be a graduate of a Health Information Management program. Experience - Must have four (4) years of coding experience in a combination of acute care hospital and clinic professional environment.
