• Review physician orders, H&P’s, and Progress Notes for accuracy and compliance components. • Fix and update medical orders for those errors within scope of practice. • Provide technical guidance to visiting staff and clinical management in creating medical orders and maneuvering through the electronic records system. • Responsible to meet Agency, State and Federal deadlines for obtaining physician signature on medical orders. • Follow up and insure the return of delinquent F2F Orders. • Identify problems related to such orders processing, including insurance and regulatory requirements and follow up to insure timely processing. • Triage Medical Order phone calls and email requests. • Perform Medical Order functions including: filing, computer input, printing, and mail processing. • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services/Administrator.

Job Requirements

  • ICD10 Coding training/experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Home Care.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and experience navigating clinical information system networks required.
  • Background in working with Medicare regulations in Home Care.
  • Proficient word processing, keyboarding, and data entry computer skills required.
  • One (1) year medical data processing experience preferred.
  • Minimum of an Associate Degree preferred.
  • Home Care Coding Specialist-Diagnosis (HCS-D) preferred.

Must currently be located in AZ, USA A Medical Transcriptionist is responsible for listening to the dictation of voice recordings from medical providers and typing the recordings into the laboratory information system in a timely manner. These dictations will become a permanent patient record and may include specimen gross description, specimen microscopic description, and pathologist diagnosis. Transcription duties may also include any general purpose correspondence such as pathology consultation letters. Transcription is also responsible for auditing patient demographic information and making any necessary corrections. This position is primarily an off-site location or work-from-home position. Employees are responsible for following all Company policies and procedures. These policies and procedures will include adherence to CPD’s Work at Home Policy and regulatory standards such HIPAA, CAP and OSHA, including safety standards in performing all aspects of the functions below.
