Remote Report Developer

What will you impact? Our customers in the Life Science Industry create innovative medicines, therapies and devices to improve their patients' quality of life. Our improvement of their efficiencies, collaboration and compliance allows them to focus their resources on their patients. What to expect? Report Developers are an important part of our technical services team as they are responsible for the accurate creation of reports and data visualizations to present our customers' critical data in a consumable format. The successful candidates are required to have experience with writing advanced and complex SQL queries that present data in meaningful ways. Responsibilities and Characteristics: - Leverage Power-BI Desktop and SQL Server Report Services to extract and present critical customer data. Perform advanced level SQL based services for Life Sciences companies. The data comes from Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager (BMRAM). The reports must present data that is accurate and qualified. - Ensure compliance with operations processes and policies. - Responsible for completing goals with respect to project completion during the life cycle of the project. - Responsible for data visualization and report development. - Utilize strong understanding of T-SQL scripting and querying to execute report projects for our customers. - Responsible for technical documentation and being able to share and explain it. Advance your skills and experience for career growth into these areas: - Advance report and visualization development - Customer coaching: Work with the Delivery Services Teams to ensure successful project deployments. - Report services quoting; Support the Sales Team to identify customer needs. - Provide report services technical support for the customer. Directly interact with the project manager and the customer about the service. - Use independent judgment to best serve customers' and Blue Mountain's interests. - Use knowledge and problem-solving skills to assist customers and co-workers. Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science degree preferred but equivalent experience will be considered. - Ability to write advanced and complex SQL queries. - Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly insights - Demonstratable experience with report development tools. Power-BI Desktop and SSRS are required. - Experience using relational databases and data warehouses/lakes for report writing. SQL-Server required. Azure Database highly desired. - Experience with Power-BI Service including DAX, semantic modeling and report design. Exposure to Microsoft Fabric and TMDL is a plus. - Strong communication and personal interaction skills; eliciting information and translating into solutions. - Demonstrates confidence during customer-facing experiences, while conducting training, requirement sessions, meetings with project managers and peers. - Sound technical writing experience. - Must be quick, creative and comfortable learning and using new technologies. - Ability to apply strong hands-on technical skills to work independently, adapt to a customer's needs and solve technical issues. - Ability to work as part of a larger team to maintain a positive experience for our customers. - Possess a high level of organization and attention to detail. - Target candidate should have 1-2 years of experience working with Power-BI Desktop and other mentioned qualifications.
