Grid Interconnection Manager

Enfinity Global

Do you want to build a better future? About Enfinity Global Enfinity Global is a purpose-driven company focused on making a positive impact on the planet by helping companies, governments, and individuals transition to a carbon-free and sustainable economy. Our role as a leading IPP is to develop, finance, build, operate, and own renewable energy assets in the long term in Europe, Asia, and the Americas through our offices in the USA, Spain, Italy, UK, Netherlands, India, and Japan. Our team of over 400 Enfiniters comprises seasoned finance professionals, as well as experienced project developers and operators with extensive industry experience across all stages of the project life cycle. We pride ourselves on being creative and innovative solution providers to our customers and partners. Job Description Enfinity Global is seeking a Grid Interconnection Manager to lead and oversee all utility-facing interconnection activities for large‑scale renewable energy projects across the U.S., including Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role will play a critical part in advancing projects through development by managing the full generator interconnection process, coordinating closely with utilities and transmission providers, and ensuring smooth progression from application through agreements. The Grid Interconnection Manager will collaborate cross‑functionally with Development, Engineering, Permitting, and Commercial teams to integrate grid requirements, address constraints, and support the successful advancement of Enfinity Global’s project pipeline. Key Responsibilities: - Partner with senior leadership to expand the company’s development pipeline by identifying promising transmission and interconnection opportunities across priority markets and shaping the strategies needed to capture them. - Lead the coordination of transmission analyses carried out internally and through external consultants, including power‑flow, injection, deliverability, and other system studies, and synthesize results into reliable upgrade cost estimates. - Provide a deep, investment‑grade understanding of interconnection frameworks, including study methodologies, technical standards, and contractual requirements across ISOs/RTOs. - Direct the technical activities involved in selecting points of interconnection and preparing complete, accurate interconnection requests for submission to the appropriate grid operators. - Track, interpret, and clearly communicate tariff updates, interconnection process revisions, and policy changes in each target region that may influence project development. - Monitor major transmission expansion plans and network upgrades—both baseline and those triggered by queued generation—and advise on optimal timing for submitting interconnection requests to strategically position the company’s projects. - Maintain up‑to‑date oversight of all interconnection positions across the portfolio, ensuring concise communication of key deadlines, study milestones, upgrade costs, potential exposure, and any risks that require cross‑functional alignment. - Represent the company in interactions with RTOs, ISOs, and utilities, acting as the primary liaison for interconnection‑related discussions and coordination. - Support internal teams in the negotiation of interconnection‑related agreements, providing technical context and strategic recommendations. - Build and manage a network of external consultants, as well as internal systems and databases to organize interconnection processes, study outcomes, cost data, and lessons learned. - Collaborate with the leadership team to strengthen workflows, enhance efficiency, and provide guidance or training to development colleagues who are newer to the transmission and interconnection space.

Job Requirements
