Role Description We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead the design of Udio's mobile app, shaping how users discover and create music. This role is central to defining core product surfaces and creating experiences that make music exploration feel effortless and put creation within reach for everyone—not just producers and professionals. You will own the end-to-end design of our mobile experience, from high-level flows to detailed interactions. This is a zero-to-one opportunity that requires working closely with product, engineering, and research teams, as well as hands-on design development and iteration. What You'll Do - Own the end-to-end design of our mobile app, from big-picture flows to micro-interactions. - Partner with product, engineering, and research to translate early-stage ideas into shipped features. - Build and evolve our design system to ensure the product feels cohesive as we scale. - Collaborate with artists and musicians as creative partners, not just users to study. - Focus on the details that separate good from great—motion, spacing, timing, and feel. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience designing mobile-first consumer products. - Ability to explore many directions quickly, prototype to learn, and iterate without attachment to early ideas. - High agency and ownership—you identify problems, develop solutions, and drive work forward independently. - Comfort working in ambiguity and navigating open-ended product questions. - Fluency in Figma, prototyping tools, and design systems. - Genuine curiosity about how people discover and make music. Nice to Have - Background in music, audio, or entertainment products. - Experience designing for generative AI or emerging technologies. Benefits - Highly competitive salary and equity - Quarterly productivity budget - Flexible time off - Fantastic office location in Manhattan - Productivity package, including ChatGPT Plus, Claude Code, and Copilot - Top notch private health, dental, and vision insurance for you and your dependents - 401(k) plan options with employer matching - Concierge medical/primary care through One Medical and Rightway - Mental health support from Spring Health - Personalized life insurance, travel assistance, and many other perks
