Role Description Join us in our fast-paced support to the Space Development Agency (SDA). Recognized as the Department of Defense's constructive disruptor for space acquisition, SDA delivers space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter to support terrestrial missions through development, fielding, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. SDA capitalizes on a unique business model that values speed and lowers costs by harnessing commercial development to achieve a proliferated architecture and enhance resilience. We are seeking a Mission Engineer to support SDA’s mission. Mission Engineers support the Mission Engineering Lead in efforts to translate Warfighter needs/requests into CONOPS, OPSCON, Use Case, etc. to define the integrated capabilities the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) delivers to the Warfighter. - Engage with the Warfighter Integration Cell (WIC) and Warfighters and other organizations to define specific mission sets and how the PWSA implements and executes them. - Support the Technical Director and Front Office in external engagement. - Supports development of CONOPS, OPSCON, use cases, and modeling and simulation capabilities to represent the appropriate mission cases. - Performs trade studies and develops courses of action for PWSA capabilities and requirements. - Works with the Requirements Lead to perform functional analysis to create requirements for the Enterprise and for Technical Requirements Documents in support of solicitation development. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or relevant technical discipline. - 10+ years experience. - Understanding of satellite acquisition and operations technology best practices. - Familiarity with MBSE desired for representation of mission capabilities. - Strong written and oral communications. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - TS/SCI Eligibility; #qinetiqclearedjob.
