Medical Director – Clinical Quality & Training

Counsel Health

• Counsel Health is seeking a Medical Director, Clinical Quality & Training to serve as the clinical standard-bearer and architect of our provider workforce. • You will operate in a "Player-Coach" capacity, maintaining a 50% clinical load while dedicating the remainder of your time to workforce management, protocol development, and clinician mentorship. • You are responsible for defining and monitoring quality rubrics that translate complex patient interactions into measurable performance data. • Maintain a high-volume clinical load, modeling elite patient communication and clinical reasoning in both Acute Care and Longevity pathways. • Author, update, and maintain our clinical guidelines creating rigorous guidelines for longevity, lifestyle, and acute care workflows. • Record video content "How-To's", build and maintain a scalable library of onboarding videos and multimedia training materials to ensure consistent clinician education. • Personally lead the clinical training for individual hires and act as the primary mentor during their First 90 Days, providing intensive 1:1 coaching and performance reviews. • Lead in systematic peer reviews and interaction grading to ensure high quality and consistent care. • Monitor clinician performance at 30/60/90-day milestones to ensure clinicians are meeting expectations.

Job Requirements

  • MD or DO degree with an active, unrestricted medical license and Board Certification in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM); high-performing Emergency Medicine (EM) candidates with a longevity focus will be considered.
  • Longevity Expertise (Required): Demonstrated clinical focus or specialized experience in longevity medicine, health-span optimization, and proactive biomarker management.
  • 5+ years of professional experience; with a strong background in direct patient care and experience leading clinical quality, training, or medical education initiatives.
  • Instructional Design Savvy: Ability to create engaging digital educational content (video/multimedia) to train a distributed workforce.
  • Analytical Problem Solver: Proficiency in distilling complex clinical data into actionable insights and operational improvements.
  • Motivation to build in ambiguity: You are energized by a fast-paced, early-stage environment and are comfortable moving between direct patient care and the high-level strategy of clinical operations.
