Senior Estimator – Industrial Construction

• Develop detailed cost estimates for industrial construction projects, from concept to final proposal • Analyze project documentation (drawings, specifications, RFIs) to identify scope, risks, and opportunities for value engineering • Perform detailed quantity take-offs and pricing for structural steel fabrication, erection, equipment setting, and piping • Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate pricing from subcontractors and vendors across various trades (concrete/civil, electrical, etc.) • Collaborate with project management, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure accurate scoping and budgeting • Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and present estimates to leadership and clients • Identify cost-saving measures and propose alternative solutions to meet client needs • Stay current on industry trends, material costs, and construction best practices • Ensure estimates align with company goals and profitability targets
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in industrial construction estimating
- In-depth knowledge of structural steel fabrication/erection, equipment setting, and piping
- Experience managing estimates for projects up to $30 million; experience with larger projects is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field — equivalent work experience is welcomed in lieu of a degree
- Proficiency in subcontractor/vendor solicitation across multiple trades, including civil, concrete, and electrical
- Expertise in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Sage Estimating, or similar platforms) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Willingness to travel as needed
