Principal Search Relevance Engineer
Rebuy Engine
• Design the hybrid search infrastructure. • Embedding model selection and fine-tuning. • Architect systems that achieve millisecond-level latency. • Collaborate with Product Managers and Data Scientists to implement search relevance algorithms. • Contribute to Rebuy's engineering culture by establishing best practices. • Set the standards for how we build search. • Mentor senior developers and provide guidance to the back-end development team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of hands-on professional back-end software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
- Deep Elasticsearch expertise.
- Vector search & embeddings experience.
- Expert proficiency in Golang (Go) and other relevant back-end languages/environments.
- ML in production experience.
- Cloud computing platforms experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Proven experience designing and implementing scalable microservices.
- Understanding of data streaming technologies for real-time indexing.
- Prior work with A/B testing frameworks for search relevance and feature rollouts.
