Role description: Arcadis is seeking a Senior Construction Scheduler to manage, oversee, and ensure the timely completion of transportation projects for the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) and Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). This role plays a critical part in supporting Arcadis' construction management teams by applying your scheduling expertise to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. Role accountabilities: - Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project). - Collaborate closely with the project management team, contractors, and other stakeholders to create comprehensive project timelines. - Monitor and report project progress, identify potential delays, and propose corrective actions to ensure timely project delivery. - Prepare regular reports on project status, milestones, and resource utilization for TDOT and internal stakeholders. - Coordinate with multiple teams to ensure smooth integration of construction activities and alignment with project goals. - Provide expert input on schedule development during project planning, design, and implementation stages. - Ensure that project timelines comply with all TDOT regulations, policies, and standards. - Participate in regular project review meetings, providing detailed insights into schedule performance. - Track project changes and assess the impact on project timelines and resources. - Assist with risk management by identifying schedule-related risks and implementing mitigation strategies. - Act as a liaison between Arcadis and TDOT to ensure that both parties are aligned on scheduling expectations and project priorities. Required Qualifications: - 10-12 years of project scheduling and construction management experience in the transportation sector - Must have experience with DOT projects, road and bridge - Proficient using P6 or MS Project Key Skills & Abilities: - Ability to produce quality materials within tight time frames and simultaneously manage several assignments - Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings - Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skill - Experience on horizontal projects such as; sidewalks, streetscapes, intersection improvements, or bridges and roadway projects - Experience in project schedules related to construction in the transportation sector Preferred Qualifications: - Local construction industry knowledge - Previous TDOT or GDOT project experience preferred - Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management is preferred, not required Why Arcadis?
