Role Description Prisma Health Urgent Care seeks talented, patient-oriented Physicians who are relentlessly dedicated to ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service by putting patients’ needs first. Our Talented Physicians: - Plan, evaluate, and implement high quality medical care with appropriate resource management to patients, both adults and children in cooperation with center physicians. - Adhere to the service and courtesy standard of Prisma Health Urgent Care by delivering the highest standard of patient satisfaction at all times. - Provide patient care within the respective clinical area which complies with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations and Prisma Health Urgent Care policies and procedures. - Provide and/or serve as a resource for patient/family and staff. - Provide an authenticated report of all services rendered and maintain accurate and complete records in an acceptable manner. - Complete necessary documentation and ensure communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement. - Participate in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the urgent care. - Participate in activities that enhance professional development, complete and maintain certification in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS and maintain any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the area assigned. This position will report to the Regional Medical Director (RMD) and/or Area Clinical Operations Director (ACOD). Qualifications - Board Certified (or Board Eligible) and Licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice. - Licensed Physician in accordance with the state of South Carolina. - Current DEA registration. - Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses. - Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs. - BLS certification (we will provide this if needed). - Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care. - Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred. - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other employees. Personal Characteristics - Outstanding bedside manner with children and adults. - Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other employees. - Positive, energetic attitude which inspires other team members. - Sense of service and team orientation absent of hubris. - Desire to contribute to building and maintaining a great organization. - Willingness at all times to go the extra mile to create an outstanding experience for customers and to train and lead the center team to do the same. - A desire to work in concert with others in an upbeat and supportive atmosphere while reinforcing the organization's mission to provide uncompromising service. - A compelling desire to serve others, improve your community’s health, and have fun every day! Role Description As an Oncology Navigation Nurse Practitioner, you will be a critical clinical team member caring for our members. You will have three primary responsibilities: - Using a telemedicine platform, evaluate and manage members identified by our nursing and provider team who have urgent symptoms, complications related to their treatment, or exacerbations of their medical conditions. - Develop care plans for our members, in collaboration with our onboarding RNs, to address clinical and non-clinical needs and barriers. - Oversee and direct interdisciplinary case conferences for our members, creating and monitoring individualized care plans. In addition to these primary responsibilities, you may be asked to participate in some holiday, night, and weekend emergency coverage as needed. This role reports to our Nurse Practitioner Team Lead and can be remote or hybrid based in our Nashville or New York City offices. All patient interactions will be virtual via telephone, video, text, or our proprietary virtual care platform. Within your first three months, you will: - Complete training and be up to speed on Thyme Care’s systems, tools, technology, partners, and clinical expectations. - Be adept at developing evidence-based, member-centered care plans that will guide our Community Health Workers and Oncology Nurse Navigators in effectively prioritizing our members' needs and goals. - Complete whole-person urgent care assessments for our members with the highest clinical rigor. - Become the go-to person for our Oncology Nurse Navigators and Community Health Workers when working with a member with complex and intersecting needs. - Be comfortable following policies, procedures, escalation pathways, communications best practices, and documentation standards. Qualifications - At least 3 years of NP experience, including 2 years in adult oncology with urgent care responsibilities. - At least one year of telehealth experience. - An unrestricted license and a willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed. - Experience working at a startup or tech-forward company is exceptional. Requirements - Skilled in juggling multiple tasks and working under pressure without sacrificing organization in communications and documentation. - Effective listener and communicator, able to build rapport and excellent working relationships with members and colleagues. - Comfortable with ambiguity in fast-paced environments. - Desire to learn how to use new technologies, including video chatting, Google Suite, Slack, and electronic health records. - Able to identify priorities and take action to address urgent and important needs.
