Role Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our client's engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy scalable applications used to operate Drones. - Core Development: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Python code using Flask or Django frameworks. - Architecture & Strategy: Contribute to high-level architectural decisions and system design to ensure scalability and performance. - Deployment & Ops: Manage production deployments and ensure system uptime. - Quality Assurance: Champion code quality through code reviews, writing unit/integration tests, and maintaining documentation. - Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. - Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level and junior developers. Qualifications - Residency Status: Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder. - Location: Must be physically located within the United States. - Python Expertise: 5+ years of professional experience with Python. - Web Frameworks: Strong proficiency in at least one major Python web framework (Flask or Django) and a deep understanding of RESTful API design. - Containerization: Proficiency with Docker for creating containerized environments and managing application dependencies. - Version Control: Expert knowledge of Git workflows (branching, merging, pull requests). - Production Experience: Demonstrated experience managing production deployments, handling releases, and monitoring live applications. Requirements - Location: Candidates located in the Washington D.C. Metro area are highly preferred. Travel to the DC area is required several times per year for in-person meetings. - Artificial Intelligence: Experience integrating AI/ML models into web applications or working with LLM APIs. - Hardware Automation: Experience integrating software with moving hardware, specifically regarding autonomous flight systems, drones, or avionics. - Cloud Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (App Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, etc.). - DevOps/CI/CD: Experience setting up or maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines. - Geospatial Tech: Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) or mapping libraries (e.g., OpenStreetMap, ArcGIS, PostGIS, GeoDjango). • Build and maintain internal GTM services and automations that support pipeline creation and customer workflows (e.g., routing, enrichment, scoring, orchestration, CRM write-backs). • Extend and improve our internal agent stack (Apex) and the workflows that power it. • Use Codex, Claude Code, and Gemini to accelerate delivery, while maintaining strong QA and correctness. • Build and maintain production-grade integrations via APIs and event-driven patterns (e.g., webhooks). • Create and maintain automated build/test/deploy pipelines (CI/CD) so changes ship safely and repeatably (e.g., GitHub Actions or equivalent). • Improve reliability and observability (logs/metrics), and debug issues pragmatically when things break. • Communicate clearly in writing: what you built, why it works, how to use it, and how to troubleshoot it. • Build with a security-first mindset: least privilege, safe secrets handling, auditability, defensive defaults.

• Work closely with other engineers to ship code. We enjoy collaboration and partnering on hard problems. • Build and maintain documentation. As a growing and remote organization, having the necessary docs are key to our success. • Solve complex problems that arise at scale. We deal with real-world money movement, sensitive financial data at scale, and are creating novel financial mechanics with no real precedent.

• Own the tools and environments engineers use to write code: from local dev setup and AI-agent sandboxes to AI coding tools configured with org-specific context and best practices. • Build a developer tooling ecosystem that other engineers can easily extend and contribute to to enable and encourage contribution from across the organization. • Improve the code review experience through better tooling, automation, and workflows that increase velocity without sacrificing rigor. • Increase the speed and reliability of building and deploying code to production: CI/CD pipelines, test infrastructure, feature flags, and deployment workflows. • Instrument and measure developer experience, using data to identify bottlenecks and prioritize the highest-leverage improvements.
