Role Description Contract - Remote (Montpelier, Vermont) VT - State Government Project Key Responsibilities: - Conduct cybersecurity discovery and assessments for municipal IT environments, including websites, email systems, and infrastructure. - Perform inventory and analysis of municipal websites, identify CMS platforms, vulnerabilities, and recommend secure configurations or migrations. - Assess and improve email security, including secure configuration, phishing protection, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) implementation. - Identify cybersecurity risks and provide remediation recommendations and implementation support. - Assist municipalities with security control implementation, including authentication, access management, and system hardening. - Evaluate and improve security monitoring, logging, and threat detection capabilities. - Provide cybersecurity policy guidance, best practices, and risk reduction recommendations for municipalities. - Prepare and deliver assessment reports, implementation documentation, and project status updates throughout the engagement.
