• Deliver efficient, maintainable, robust Java or Golang based code • Produce designs and rough estimates, and implement features based on product requirements • Collaborate with peers on designs, code reviews, and testing • Produce unit and end-to-end tests to improve code quality and maximize code coverage for new and existing features

• Design and implement high-performance data services for streaming, indexing, and querying sensor data at scale — across time-series, multi-modal, replay, and live sources. • Own and evolve the serialization and format layer: designing for performance, interoperability, and correctness across formats like Protobuf, Arrow, Parquet, and MCAP. • Collaborate with AI and Robotics teams to deeply understand their data access and evaluation patterns, then build platform APIs and tooling that measurably accelerate their work. • Optimize performance at every level: profiling, parallelization, memory efficiency, query optimization, and protocol redesign. • Build diagnostic and observability tooling that lets teams understand and debug their data and test pipelines. • Establish standard software development practices (code quality, testing, tracing, CI/CD) across data and orchestration services. • Actively drive the adoption of new standards and technologies in the physical AI tooling ecosystem.

• Build novel design solutions and drive execution to improve the use of end to end Simulation at scale to evaluate Autonomous Vehicle performance through test architecture and tool development. • Lead efforts to streamline and automate the development of simulation tests from all aspects of creation, run, and analysis infrastructure. • Build reliable and scalable infrastructure and operations that can make it easy to scale and interact with simulation tests. • Analyze complex technical issues and independently drive resolution. • Guide technical aspects of development of test scenario creation and usability in Simulation. • Work closely with developers and operational teams responsible for Simulation test creation to understand their needs and improve scalability and stability of the platform. • Collaborate across many teams, bridging needs of Autonomous Vehicle development and innovative end-to-end Simulation capabilities, applying your skills to understand and improve the modules that simulate the real world driving. • Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting a culture of technical excellence and collaborative problem solving.

• End to end ownership of our database and data warehousing infrastructure, its KPIs and its SLAs, including MySQL, Postgres, CDC capture, and Redshift. • Lead optimizations in database and query performance. • Build and maintain tooling to help manage and upgrade our data infrastructure, continually improving with migrations and optimizations. • Partner with Development to ensure we ship solid queries against a battle-tested schema to meet the needs of our products and business. • Help Sezzle evolve our data systems beyond the current scale and stack with whatever tooling is necessary to handle processing high volumes of writes and events while performing complex ETL. • Evaluate and integrate new technologies, guiding the evolution of Sezzle’s data infrastructure. • Help data engineers and analysts optimize Redshift and warehouse performance, including query tuning, modeling improvements, and cost management.
