Role Description SEH is currently searching for a Mechanical Engineer to join our talented Mechanical/Electrical team! This Opportunity: - HVAC Systems - Assist in the design of heating, cooling, ventilation, and exhaust systems for commercial buildings - Perform heating and cooling load calculations - Select equipment (AHUs, RTUs, boilers, chillers, pumps, VAVs, etc.) - Develop ductwork and piping layouts - Support energy efficiency and code compliance efforts - Plumbing Systems - Assist in the design of domestic water, sanitary, storm, and specialty piping systems - Size piping, pumps, water heaters, and fixtures - Prepare plumbing plans, riser diagrams, and schedules - Coordinate plumbing layouts with other trades - General Engineering - Prepare construction documents using AutoCAD and/or Revit - Review submittals and respond to RFIs - Participate in field visits and construction coordination - Work under senior engineers to develop technical skills Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field - Basic understanding of building systems and mechanical principles - Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit - Strong communication and organizational skills - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Requirements - Experience with load calculation software (e.g., HAP, Trace, EnergyPlus) - Exposure to plumbing design standards and codes - EIT certification or progress toward PE licensure - Experience in consulting engineering or construction environments - 0–4 years of experience in commercial HVAC and/or plumbing design (internship experience acceptable) Benefits - Collaborate on amazing projects of varying size and complexity that positively impact communities - Being 100% employee-owned means we all share in the company’s success - Career development through continued education, licensure/certification, skills, and technical training - Work arrangements that promote work/life balance - Flexible holidays enable individuals to tailor their festivities - Paid Family Leave provides time to care for loved ones, whether family by birth or family by choice Company Description SEH is an employee-owned engineering, architectural, planning, and environmental company, offering a wide variety of services. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Basic understanding of building systems and mechanical principles
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience with load calculation software (e.g., HAP, Trace, EnergyPlus)
  • Exposure to plumbing design standards and codes
  • EIT certification or progress toward PE licensure
  • Experience in consulting engineering or construction environments
  • 0–4 years of experience in commercial HVAC and/or plumbing design (internship experience acceptable)
