Role Description This student internship is being offered as a part of EO's Ignite Internships program and is for high school students only. This internship is offered in partnership with the Bristol Virginia Public Schools Central Office and is open to BVPS students only. Students will be employed by BVPS and all hiring decisions will be made by BVPS personnel. - The intern must possess a good work ethic and attendance. - Must be able to work well with others as well as independently. - Will be taught how to use all office equipment and understand how confidentiality with paperwork, phone calls, and conversations are maintained. - Opportunity to learn and grow in a positive and supportive learning environment. - Must possess good written and verbal skills. - Assist with daily activities in the Department of Special Education Services. - Filing information in student folders. - Dealing with confidential paperwork. - Copying, collating, shredding, and faxing. - Answering the phone. - Other duties as requested by the mentor or Special Education Director. - Will also assist in other departments as needed. Qualifications - High school student. Requirements - Good work ethic and attendance. - Ability to work well with others and independently. - Good written and verbal skills.
