PHP Laravel Developer

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using PHP (8+) and the Laravel framework • Enhance and support internal applications used in day-to-day company operations • Modernize legacy PHP systems into maintainable Laravel-based solutions • Build and maintain internal APIs and system integrations • Design, optimize, and maintain MySQL databases on a per-application basis • Develop front-end forms and interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues and user-reported problems • Collaborate with team members to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Participate in code reviews and follow shared coding standards and best practices • Collaborate with other developers on multi-developer and cross-team projects • Write unit and integration tests to help prevent regressions and validate functionality • Document application behavior, workflows, and technical implementation details
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience working with PHP
- 2+ years of experience working with the Laravel framework
- Strong experience with relational databases such as MySQL
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Proficient in using git and GitHub
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience supporting and maintaining deployed applications
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose production issues
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Experience maintaining or modernizing legacy applications (Preferred)
- Familiarity with background jobs, queues, and scheduled tasks (Preferred)
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs and data providers (Preferred)
- Understanding of authentication and authorization concepts (Preferred)
- Experience working on internal business systems or workflow tools (Preferred)
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Preferred)
- Exposure to AWS-hosted environments or cloud-based deployments (Preferred)

In this role, you will work in an agile environment, collaborating closely with team members and end users to modernize and upgrade the current system. The position requires hands‑on experience with Angular, Java, and Accumulo. Responsibilities include developing new code, migrating Angular and Accumulo to their latest versions, and supporting requirements development as well as other lifecycle documentation and processes.
