Job Description

Senior Architect/Analyst

General Dynamics

• Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and blueprints • Design scalable, secure, and efficient IT systems and applications • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies • Conduct requirements analysis and translate business needs into technical specifications • Perform gap assessments and identify opportunities for improvement • Provide risk analysis and mitigation strategies for proposed solutions • Collaborate with developers, engineers, and project managers to ensure designs are implemented correctly • Provide technical guidance during system integration and deployment • Review code, configurations, and system designs for adherence to standards • Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams • Present architectural solutions and analysis findings to senior leadership • Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather input and drive consensus • Ensure solutions meet security, regulatory, and performance standards • Maintain documentation of architecture decisions and processes • Support audits and compliance reviews with technical evidence • Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements • Lead post implementation reviews to capture lessons learned • Mentor junior architects and analysts to build organizational capability

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in systems architecture, analysis, or IT leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure, preferred) and modern IT infrastructure
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a relevant field
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and IT governance
  • Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies
  • Knowledge of Postgres DB
  • Familiar with several unit test tools/frameworks in support of TDD
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
